Impulse Leisure - Civic Hall hosts an impressive selection of musicals, dances, comedy and theatrical entertainment throughout the year, boasting an exceptional array of acts.

During the Summer/Autumn 2008 season, we have a number of fantastic shows starting with the ever popular CAMRA Beer Festival, a chance to try over 120 real ales' traditional wine, cider and mead, enjoy your favourite drink while listening to some great live entertainment!
Journey South are appearing in July, see the X-Factor finalists perform all their hits that earned them millions of viewers on TV as well as some classic songs they performed on the show, a great show for all music fans.

August see's the very controversial Jimmy Carr come to the Civic Hall. For a second year running one of Britains biggest and most successful comedians will be performing a preview show of his new tour, please remember though this show is strictly for adults only!
An audience with Henry Blowfield is on 16th September giving you the chance to meet and ask questions to the cricket legend whilst Voulez Vous returns in 2008 following previous sell out success, dont miss out on this amazing ABBA tribute, performed with stunning accuracy., and remember this is their LAST EVER tour so catch them before their gone!

Live music is the theme for October and November with Got to Sing, Got to Dance and The One and Only Dusty Springfield, both shows are perfect for all the family with Got to Sing, Got to Dance featuring all the best songs from everyones favourite musicals, while Dusty Springfield is portrayed amazingly by Katy Setterfield, winner of the BBC's talent show 'The One and Only' .
